How to get approval

1) Write up your plans for the change. The CC&Rs have everything that must be included in Article XV, section 8.
2) Talk to your adjacent neighbors. Show them the plans and get them to sign that they approve it.
If your adjacent neighbors are renting, find out if you can talk with the landlord or at least get them to sign that they are renting and don’t own the house.
3) Make copies of your plans.
4) Write out a check. Article XV, section 9 of the CC&Rs requires a check of $50.00 if you want to make changes to your home or $25.00 for anything else. Make the check out to “Diamond Hills Homeowners’ Association”
5) Send us a packet. The packet must include two copies of your plans, the signed approval/renting forms from your adjacent neighbors, and the check.
6) Wait for a confirmation saying when we received it. The mailbox is checked weekly, so you should not have to wait long for this.
7) Wait for the approval from us. The CC&Rs, article XV, section 12 says we get two weeks to do this. You can use this form to track your progress.
